Reduction of Plastic Waste & Use

CTI Bags
They asked. We delivered!
Within Bank of Beirut’s recycling initiative and our commitment for a better tomorrow, we have distributed to the Christian Technical Institute (CTI) 1,500 cloth bags, to be used by staff, parents and students in a bit to reduce the use of plastic bags and materials at school.
Bottle Caps Initiative
Contributing to the community is in Bank of Beirut's DNA. As part of our community engagement activities, the Bank's staff members are joining forces to offer wheelchairs to people with disabilities, by collecting as many bottle caps as possible.

100,000 caps have been collected so far by Bank of Beirut team members who believe that, hand in hand, they can turn CAPs into CAPabilities.
Guinness World Record Recycling Initiative
Bank of Beirut sponsored in July 2018 a Guinness World Record for the Largest Recyclable Material Mosaic, an initiative in collaboration with CleverNés aimed at raising awareness about waste challenges and promoting recycling and upcycling practices through art.

More than 100 volunteers over a period of 10 days gathered to assemble the authentic piece of mosaic that measures more than 900 square meters.

An official Guinness World Record ceremony took place at Waterfront City to celebrate this achievement, gathering more than 250 attendees including MP Paula Yacoubian, official Guinness Representatives, Bank of Beirut representatives, environmental enthusiasts, visitors and press.
